Early Life and EducationIn 1969, the Armenian political and statesman graduated from high school and enrolled at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1974.
Career in Engineering and Academia
From 1974 to 1977, he worked as an engineer and senior engineer at the Scientific Research Institute of Complex Electrical Devices, while concurrently teaching at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. In 1977, he began a three-year doctoral program at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
Academic Contributions
After completing his doctorate in 1980, he returned to the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute as an assistant and later a docent, serving as deputy dean for scientific work. His academic contributions include several scholarly publications.
