Israeli Political and Public Figure, Attorney
Avigdor Lieberman is an Israeli political and public figure, as well as an attorney, born in Chisinau in 1974. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Tel-Aviv University and a Master's Degree in International Management from Bar-Ilan University. Since 2001, Lieberman has been engaged in private legal practice in commercial law. He is a member of the Technology Legislation Committee and the Communications Committee with the CIS of the Israel Bar Association.
Political Affiliation and Leadership
Lieberman has been a member of the Likud party since 1992. During the 2006 and 2009 parliamentary elections, he was one of the leaders of the "Russian" propaganda headquarters of the Likud party. In 2007-8, he organized a campaign against the transfer of the Sergei Strakhov Podvorye in Jerusalem to Russia.
Board Memberships and Lobbying
Lieberman is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jabotinsky Institute and the head of the Likud Knesset Lobby in support of higher education. He is also a commentator on television and radio programs on party-political and legal issues.
