Early Life and Youth Development
Artak Yedigaryan was born into a family with a rich soccer pedigree. His father and grandfather were both accomplished footballers, and his proximity to Yerevan's Republican Stadium further fueled his passion for the sport. Yedigaryan joined the youth academy of Pyunik, where he spent two seasons with the reserve team before being promoted to the senior squad.
Professional Career at Pyunik
In the 2009 season, Yedigaryan initially made substitute appearances but gradually earned a place in the starting lineup. His contributions were instrumental in Pyunik's remarkable treble in 2010, winning the Armenian Premier League, Cup, and Supercup.
Transfer to Metalurh Donetsk
In 2012, Yedigaryan caught the attention of Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk. After a successful trial, he signed a three-year contract and was assigned the jersey number 21.
International Debut
Yedigaryan made his debut for the Armenian national team in 2010 in a friendly match against Uzbekistan. Armenia emerged victorious with a score of 3:1.
Subsequent Club Career
After his stint at Metalurh Donetsk, Yedigaryan joined FK Žalgiris in Lithuania, where he won the Lithuanian Championship and Cup in 2014. In 2015, he returned to Armenia and signed with Alashkert, winning two more Armenian Premier League titles in 2016 and 2017, as well as the Supercup in 2017.
Personal Life
Artak Yedigaryan is the younger brother of Artur Yedigaryan and the son of Gegham Yedigaryan. His grandfather, Felix Veranyan, was also a renowned footballer.
