Arturo Moreno, an American billionaire with Spanish roots, was born in 1946 in the United States. In 2003, he became the first Hispanic to acquire a leading baseball team in the United States. Early Life and Education
Arturo Moreno was born in Tucson, Arizona, and was the eldest of his eleven siblings. After graduating from high school in 1965, he was enlisted in the United States Army, where he participated in the Vietnam War in 1966. He returned home in 1968 and successfully enrolled at the University of Arizona. In 1973, he completed his studies and earned a degree in marketing.
Business Career
After graduating from university, Moreno decided to focus on his career and set a goal to accumulate a substantial capital. At the end of 1973, he received an offer from "Eller Outdoor," a company that specialized in various advertising and printing products. Over the course of seven years, Moreno traveled across the country, meeting with directors of different companies and agencies. He offered his advertising products wherever possible and became a professional in his field.
In 1984, Moreno decided to pursue a higher-paying position and joined the company "Outdoor Systems." He made a strong impression as a competent leader and entrepreneur. Within a few years, he climbed to the top of the corporate ladder and became the president and CEO of the company. Under Moreno's leadership, "Outdoor Systems" increased its profits several times, growing from $500,000 to $90 million in less than 10 years.
In 1996, Moreno took "Outdoor Systems" public, and in 1998, he sold it to the conglomerate "Broadcasting" for $8 billion.

Currently, Arturo Moreno devotes a significant portion of his time to his basketball team, the "Anaheim Angels." He is also the owner of several Spanish-speaking radio stations. In 2008, his income amounted to $1.2 billion.
