Born into Talent
In 980 AD, in the village of Afshana near Bukhara, a budding physician by the name of Abu Ali Ibn Sina emerged. Although his true name was Husayn, he became known as Ibn Sina in Central Asia and Avicenna in Europe.

Translated into Latin and other European languages, "Urjuza" played a significant role in the dissemination of medical knowledge in the West.
