Early Life and Career
Ashraf Abdel Aal Bayoumi is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Al Ahly SC and the Egyptian national team. Born and raised in Cairo, he began his football journey with Al Ahly's youth academy.
Domestic Club Career
In 2009, Bayoumi made his debut for Al Ahly's senior team in the Egyptian Premier League. Despitelimited playing time, he contributed to the club's league title triumph that season. The following year, he repeated the feat as Al Ahly retained their championship.
For the 2012-13 campaign, Bayoumi was loaned to Telephonat Bani Sueif. He made his debut in a league match against Petrojet FC in January 2012.
Return to Al Ahly
Bayoumi joined Smouha SC in 2013 and quickly became a regular starter. In 2017, he returned to Al Ahly, where he helped the team win the league title for a third time in his career.
International Career
Bayoumi has represented Egypt at youth levels, participating in the FIFA U-20 World Cups in 2009 (hosted by Egypt) and 2011 (held in Colombia). He made his senior international debut in a friendly match against Guinea in August 2016.
