Early Years and Club Career

Besart Ibraimi, a Macedonian footballer, began his professional career in 2005 with hometown club FK Vardar. In 2006, he made his senior debut and spent two seasons there, scoring four goals in 32 appearances. In 2007, he moved to FK Napredok and subsequently to FK Renova in 2008.

Breakthrough with FK Renova

Under Ibraimi's influence, FK Renova's fortunes improved. They finished third in the league and secured their first-ever bronze medals. Ibraimi emerged as the league's second top scorer with 13 goals, behind Ivica Gligoroski of FK Milano.

In the 2009/10 season, Ibraimi continued his impressive form, scoring 12 goals in the first half, propelling FK Renova to league victory. He finished as the second-highest scorer behind Bobi Bojinov of FK Lokomotiv.

Move to FC Schalke 04

On January 12, 2010, Ibraimi signed a contract with Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04, valid until June 2013. He made his debut in February, coming on as a substitute against SC Freiburg.

Loan Stints and International Debut

In early 2011, Ibraimi joined FC Sevastopol on a 3.5-year contract. He represented Macedonia for the first time in September 2009 against Scotland.

FC Sevastopol and FC Tavriya Simferopol

Ibraimi played seven games for the Macedonian national team but saw limited action with FC Sevastopol. He was loaned to FC Tavriya Simferopol for six months in the summer of 2011.

Return to FK Renova and Retirement
