Betsy Russell is an American actress known for her roles in various films and television series. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Betsy had dreams of pursuing an acting career from a young age. She began her acting journey by participating in school drama clubs and later landed a role in a Pepsi commercial as a high school student.

After graduating from high school in 1981, Betsy moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting aspirations. She worked as a waitress while taking acting lessons and searching for acting opportunities. In 1982, she got her first role in the film "Let's Do It" and made appearances in TV series like "T.J. Hooker" and "Family Ties."

Betsy's breakthrough came in 1983 when she played the role of Jordan Leigh-Jenson in the erotic comedy film "Private School." She gained popularity in the 1980s as a prominent actress in B-category films, including "Tomboy" and "Cheerleader Camp." She also appeared in TV series such as "The A-Team," "Murder, She Wrote," "1st & Ten," and "Superboy."
Despite her success, Betsy took a break from acting to focus on raising her two children. She returned to the big screen in the film "Saw III" in 2006, where she portrayed Jill Tuck. Her role in the "Saw" franchise expanded in subsequent films.
