Early Life and Education

Kydykbekova, Jalalova Kubanychbekovnawas born in Kyrgyzstan. In 1983, she graduated from the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute named after K.I. Skryabin with a specialization in Scientific Research in Agronomy and Ecology.

Scientific Career

Kydykbekova embarked on her scientific career at the Research Institute of Agriculture in 1984. She held various positions, including Laboratory Assistant, Senior Laboratory Assistant, Agronomist, and Senior Agronomist. In 1988, she became a Research Fellow at the Institute.

In 1989, she joined the Institute of Geology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan (NAS KR). However, she later returned to farming as a Field Accountant at the "Socialism" state farm.

Academic Roles

In 1991, Kydykbekova became Scientific Secretary of the Geographical Society of the Kyrgyz SSR. She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fruit and Vegetable Production and Processing of Agricultural Crops at the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute from 1992 to 1995.

From 1995 to 1996, she worked as a Junior Research Fellow in the Plant Physiology Laboratory of the Botanical Garden of NAS KR. In 1996, she was promoted to Research Fellow at NAS KR.

Political Involvement

In 1999, Kydykbekova joined the "Ar-Namys" political party and coordinated the party's activities in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan. She was later elected Deputy Chairperson of "Ar-Namys."

From 2001 to 2005, she headed the NGO "Azem." In 2004, she ran for the City Council but was unsuccessful.

Legislative Positions

In 2007, Kydykbekova ran for the Kyrgyz Parliament on the "Ar-Namys" party list, but the party did not pass the threshold. In 2008, she became Manager of the environmental movement "Tabiyat."

Following the April 2010 revolution, Kydykbekova was appointed Acting Minister of Labor, Employment, and Migration by the interim government. In October 2010, she was elected to the Kyrgyz Parliament as a member of the "Ar-Namys" faction.

On December 23, 2010, Kydykbekova was elected Deputy Speaker of the Vth Convocation of the Kyrgyz Parliament. She joined the opposition group "Democrats" in February 2014.
