Carlton Cole is an English footballer who plays as a striker. Born on October 12, 1983, in Croydon, London, Cole's parents are originally from Nigeria and Sierra Leone, giving him the opportunity to represent their national teams. However, he decided to decline this possibility.
Early Career
Cole regularly played for the England U21 national team, scoring 6 goals in 19 matches, including a brace against the U21 team of Ukraine in August 2004. This performance caught the attention of Peter Taylor, who was the head coach of the England U21 team at the time. Taylor stated that Cole had the potential to break into the senior England national team.
International Debut
