While Joly's experience in Russia has primarily focused on directing French plays, she expressed a desire to work on Russian productions in the future. She has a deep appreciation for Russian literature and has previously performed in Russian plays such as "The Brothers Karamazov" and "The Seagull". Joly also expressed an interest in directing contemporary Russian comedies.

Outside of her work, Joly has enjoyed exploring the city of St. Petersburg. She finds the city to be beautiful and captivating, despite the unpredictable weather. Joly even bought herself a pair of Russian boots to stay warm during the frequent rain.
