Christopher Robert "Chris" Evans was born on June 13, 1981, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His father, Robert Evans III, was a dentist, and his mother, Lisa Evans, was the artistic director of the Concord Youth Theater. Chris has an older sister named Carly and a younger sister named Shanna, as well as a younger brother named Scott, who is also an actor.
Chris received his secondary education at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and later studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. He made his acting debut in 1997 at the age of 16 in the short film "Biodiversity: Wild About Life!"
From 2000 to 2005, Chris appeared in various television shows and films, including "Opposite Sex," "The Fugitive: The Chase Continues," and "The Boston Public."
