Claudia Cardinale was born on May 17, 1965, in Rome, Italy. Her first foray into acting was a small role in the Italian television series "Woman Full of Mistakes" (1988). Her big screen debut came with the film "Orlando sei" (1989).

Cardinale's breakthrough role came in Tinto Brass's controversial film "Tutti gli uomini di Lama" (1992) ("All Ladies Do It"). The film garnered attention for its explicit content, which helped Cardinale establish herself as a rising star.
