Biography of Daria Medova
Early Life and CareerDaria Medova is a Ukrainian singer, actress, TV presenter, model, composer, and songwriter. She was born on October 23, 1990, in Kherson, Ukraine. Her love for music was instilled by her mother, who enrolled her in a music school to learn piano and vocal classes. After completing school, Daria moved to Kyiv and joined the Kyiv State College of Variety and Circus Arts, where she studied for a year. She then returned to Kherson and continued her music education at a music school, specializing in choral conducting. Daria participated in various music festivals, including "Chervona Ruta," "Black Sea Games," and "Krystalni Notky."

Arktika and Solo Career
After finishing school, Daria moved to Kyiv and became a backing vocalist for Yuriy Nikitin and Olga Gorbacheva's project "Arktika." She performed with the group in over a hundred concerts and gained experience on the big stage. In 2008, Daria appeared in the group's first music video for the song "Ochen-Ochen." The group released their album "Belaya Zvezda" in 2009, which included all 11 songs from their repertoire. Daria left the group in 2010 to pursue a solo career and began working on her own songs.

VIA Gra
In January 2013, after the announcement of the closure of the group VIA Gra by Konstantin Meladze, Dmitry Kostyuk, the former general producer of the group, decided to conduct auditions for a new lineup independently. Daria successfully auditioned and joined the group. VIA Gra released their first composition, "Ne Vedaya Pregrad," in July 2013, followed by the release of their second track and music video, "Zhiva," in September. In October 2013, the new lineup of VIA Gra was officially presented in Moscow and Kyiv. However, in 2014, Daria and another member left the group for undisclosed reasons.

Solo Career
Daria Medova participated in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with the song "Infinity" and was recognized as the Opening Act of the National Selection. She ranked fourth, surpassing many well-known competitors. Daria worked as a TV presenter for local TV channels and hosted shows like "SITI Shopping" and "MTV News" on MTV Ukraine. She also became the face of the Italian shoe brand "Emanuele Gelmetti" and appeared in various commercials for clothing and cosmetics.
