Bosnian Football Career
Damjanović began his football career in 2001, joining the Bosnian club Modriča. In 2004, he moved to HNK Hajduk Split in Croatia.
Russian Adventure
In early 2008, Damjanović was acquired by Russian club Luch-Energiya Vladivostok at the initiative of head coach Zoran Vulić. Vulić had worked with Damjanović at Hajduk Split and was familiar with his abilities.
Success in Primorsky
Damjanović became a key player for Luch-Energiya, forming a midfield trio with Levani Gvazava and Dmitry Smirnov.
German Interlude
On January 31, 2009, Damjanović left Russia and joined German 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
Return to Bosnia and Serbia
After a season in Germany, Damjanović returned to Bosnia with FK Čelik Zenica in 2011/12. Subsequently, he played for Novi Pazar and Jagodina in Serbia.
