Biography of Dayana Mendoza
Early Life and CareerDayana Sabrina Mendoza Moncada, born in 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela, is a Venezuelan model and beauty pageant titleholder. From a young age, it was evident that Dayana possessed exceptional beauty and she began participating in fashion shows. At the age of 15, she signed her first contract with the modeling agency 'Elite Model Management'. In 2001, Mendoza became a finalist in the 'Elite Model Look International 2001' competition in Nice, France. She soon walked the runways in various countries, including Greece, Spain, Germany, Mexico, France, USA, England, and Italy.
Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe
On September 13, 2007, Dayana Mendoza won the title of 'Miss Venezuela 2007', becoming the first representative from her state to win the prestigious pageant. This victory paved her way to the Miss Universe competition held in Vietnam in 2008, where she was crowned 'Miss Universe 2008'. As the winner, Mendoza received a prize of $120,000, a trip around the world, an apartment in New York City, and numerous gifts from the fashion industry. She also received a $100,000 scholarship to study at the New York Film Academy.
