Biography of Dunja Zdouc

Dunja Zdouc is an Austrian biathlete who has achieved success both at the European Junior Biathlon Championships and on the international stage.

Early Career

Zdouc made her debut on the international scene at the 2011 Junior World Biathlon Championships in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic. She finished in 17th place in the individual race, marking the beginning of her promising career.

Junior Championships Success

In 2014, Zdouc, along with her teammates Susanna Hoffmann and Lisa Theresa Hauser, won a bronze medal in the relay event at the Junior World Championships held in Presque Isle, USA. Later that year, Zdouc also won a bronze medal as part of the Austrian women's team at the Junior European Championships in Nove Mesto na Morave.

Professional Career

Zdouc made her World Cup debut in her home country at the Hochfilzen stage on December 7, 2013, where the Austrian team finished in 16th place in the women's relay event. Her first individual race in the World Cup took place in Ostersund on December 4, 2014, where she finished in 74th place.

Continued Success

Zdouc continued to excel at the European Junior Championships in Otepaa, Estonia, where she won three medals. She won silver in the sprint and individual races, as well as a bronze medal in the relay event.
