Elizabeth Köstinger
Early Life and Education:Elizabeth Köstinger was born and raised in Sankt Paul im Lavanttal, Austria. She attended elementary and secondary school in her hometown before graduating from college in Wolfsberg. In 2003, she enrolled at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, where she is pursuing a degree in Journalism and Communications.
Political Career:
In 2009, Köstinger was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She successfully renewed her mandate in 2014, continuing to serve as an MEP.
Cabinet Position:
On December 18, 2017, Köstinger was appointed as the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, Water Management, and Tourism in Sebastian Kurz's cabinet. In this role, she is responsible for a wide range of policy areas, including agricultural practices, environmental protection, and tourism.
