Early Life and Education
Born on May 15, 1959, in the village of Karakas, Eastern Kazakhstan, Bolat Kali is a renowned Kazakh actor. He spent his formative years in Almaty, where he completed his secondary education at School No. 12 in 1976. Inspired by the performing arts, he enrolled in the theater studio at the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after M.O. Auezov in 1977.
In 1982, Kali graduated from the State Institute of Theater Arts named after Lunacharsky.
Professional Career
Kali's professional acting journey commenced in 1982 at the M. Auezov Theater. From 1989 to 2006, he worked at the Sh. Aimanov Film Studio. From 2006 to 2011, he served as Deputy General Director of Artistic Affairs at the Kazakh State Circus.
In 2011, Kali became the General Director of the Astana City Circus.
Artistic RecognitionKali's outstanding contributions to the performing arts have earned him numerous accolades. He received the "Zhiger" Festival Award in 1998, the Merited Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan title in 1998, and the Order of "Parasat" in 2016.
Furthermore, Kali is a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR (1989) and Kazakhstan (1991).
Personal Life
Bolat Kali is part of a large family. His father, Kali, was a skilled dombra player, while his mother, Zhazyra, participated in local theatrical productions. He has nine siblings, including his brother Doshan Kalievich Zholzhaksynov, who is a renowned Kazakh National Artist.
In 1985, Kali married actress Kymnat Tleuova, with whom he has three children: Madiyar, Khorlan, and Aikhanum.
