Early Life and Education

Fedya Karmamanov, also known as Karaman Farhat Fridinovich, was born on March 13, 1955, in the village of Tylnamas in the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1957, he moved to Perm with his family and began studying violin at a music school at the age of six. He continued his violin education for seven years. In 1972, he enrolled in the Perm Music College's violin department.

Performing Career

In 1976, Karmamanov joined the Perm-based ensemble "Ryabiny-Yagody." From 1977 onwards, he showcased his violin skills at various restaurants in Perm, including "Gorny Khrustal," "Kama," "Neva," and "Tsentralny." In 1980, he relocated to Moscow and secured a job as a violinist at the nocturnal restaurant "Gloria," where he also began singing.

Sochi and the "Golden Violin"

In 1984, Karmamanov moved to Sochi, where he performed and sang at the prestigious restaurant "Saturn" until 1989. During this time, he earned the nickname "Golden Violin of Sochi."

Return to Moscow and the "Lots-Men"

Upon his return to Moscow in 1990, Karmamanov joined the band "Lots-Men," featuring soloist Alexander Polotno. In 1999, he released his first solo album, "Kamernye Pesni" (Chamber Songs), produced by Polotno and arranged by Konstantin Krasnov. It was during this period that he adopted the stage name Fedya Karmamanov, coined by Polotno.

Collaboration with Anatoly Polotno

In 2006, Karmamanov and Polotno released the highly anticipated album "Gop-Stop Salo." The album was initially distributed in Ukraine in the autumn before being released in Russia on December 7. All music and lyrics were composed by Anatoly Polotno.
