Early Career and Junior Years

Felix Schütz's professional hockey journey began in 2003 with TSV Erding's youth team. He later joined Adler Mannheim's youth squad and contributed to their title victory in his debut season. In 2004/05, Schütz moved to 2nd Bundesliga club EV Landshut.

North American Venture and NHL Draft

In 2005/06, Schütz pursued a challenge in North America, joining the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Saint John Sea Dogs. During the same year, Schütz was drafted 117th overall in the fourth round by the Buffalo Sabres.
