George William Cox

George William Cox was born in the Indian city of Benares. He received his education at Oxford University.

Ordination and Literary Debut

In 1850, Cox was ordained as a priest. That same year, he published his first book, "Poems, legendary and historical."

Cox is renowned for his groundbreaking work in comparative mythology. His contributions include:
