Minister of Transport of Ukraine

Hryhoriy Mykolayovych Kirpawas born on July 20, 1946, in the village of Klubivka, Iziaslav Raion, Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

Early Life and Education

Kirpa graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Railway Transport Engineers in 1970, specializing in the operation of railroads. He holds a PhD in technical sciences.

Career in the Railway Industry

Kirpa's career began as a locksmith at the Klembov Sugar Factory. After graduating from university, he worked as a dispatcher at the Chop station on the Lviv Railway. From 1972 to 1977, he rose through the ranks at the Chop station, serving as an engineer, chief engineer, and station master.

From 1977 to 1978, Kirpa worked as the head of the traffic department and deputy head of the Uzhhorod Division of the Lviv Railway. In 1978, he became deputy head of the Uzhhorod Division.

From 1982 to 1985, Kirpa headed the Uzhhorod Division. From 1985 to 2000, he held various positions on the Lviv Railway, including deputy head and head.

Director of Ukrzaliznytsia

In 2000, Kirpa was appointed General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian state railway company.
