Giacometti's artistic style was heavily influenced by various movements, including Fauvism, the works of Cézanne, Van Gogh, Kuno Amiet, and Giovanni Segantini. Segantini, in particular, played a significant role as Giacometti's mentor during his time living in the southeastern Swiss village of Maloja from 1894 onwards.
