Early Life and Career

Gochi Gogua, a former Georgian footballer, began his professional career at Tbilisi's "Iberia," which later became known as "Dinamo." He served as both a key player and captain for the team.

Stints Abroad

In 1996, Gogua moved to Russia to join "Alania." He then transferred to Turkey's "Trabzonspor," where he played 27 matches and scored 3 goals. From 1998 to 2002, he represented Swiss club "Zürich," where he became a mainstay and also spent a period on loan at "Luzern."

Time in Ukraine

After leaving Switzerland, Gogua had opportunities to join "Freiburg" in Germany or "Dundee United" in Scotland. However, he opted for a three-year contract with Ukrainian side "Metallurg Donetsk" in 2002. He made his Ukrainian league debut in August of that year and was soon appointed captain. With "Metallurg," he twice claimed bronze medals in the Ukrainian Championship.

Return to Georgia and Retirement

In the winter of 2005, Gogua returned to his former club, "Dinamo Tbilisi." Later that year, he moved to Cyprus' "Anorthosis." However, he soon decided to retire from active football.

International Career

Gogua represented the Georgian national team in 62 matches, scoring 6 goals. He also served as captain for the national side.

Personal Life

Gogua is married to Mery and they have two children, a son named Luka and a daughter named Medea.
