Biography of Hannah Angela Kearney
Hannah Angela Kearney, an American freestyle skier, was born on February 26, 1986, in Hanover, New Hampshire. She currently resides in Norwich, Vermont. Hannah is the daughter of Tom and Jill Kearney and has a brother named Danny who plays baseball, with their mother managing a vacation home in Norwich.

Early Career
Hannah Kearney made her debut in the World Cup on January 11, 2003, in Mont-Tremblant, Canada, where she finished in 26th place. On the first stage of the following season on December 6, 2003, in Ruka, Finland, Hannah placed third. On February 22, 2004, she won a World Cup stage in Naeba, Japan, and went on to win a gold medal in moguls at her first World Championship in 2005.

Olympic Journey
At the 2006 Winter Olympics, during her first appearance in freestyle skiing, Hannah Kearney was initially considered a favorite. However, she failed to qualify for the final after stumbling in her qualification run, though she managed to stay upright and complete her first jump. With a score of 20.80 in the first stage, she finished 10th among the 20 participants in the next stage. In her second and final stage, she placed 22nd, officially exiting the qualifying list for the final.

Road to Recovery and Success
Due to injuries, Hannah Kearney experienced a significant setback from 2006 to 2008. However, she made a comeback and showcased her high level of performance in the 2008-2009 season. She won three World Cup stages and secured the first-place finish in the overall standings. Additionally, she earned third place in parallel moguls at the World Championships.
In December 2009, Kearney won the American Olympic Trials at Steamboat, ensuring her spot on the U.S. team. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, Hannah qualified for the final with a score of 25.96. She clinched the long-awaited gold medal, surpassing Canadian Jennifer Heil by a narrow margin.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Hannah Kearney enjoys horseback riding, cooking, playing soccer, and reading. She considers herself "half-Canadian" as her mother grew up in Montreal, and she has relatives living in Vancouver.
