Early Life and Education

Hunter Schafer was born in Trenton, New Jersey, to parents Katie and Mac Schafer. The family moved frequently due to her father's profession as a Presbyterian minister, eventually settling in Raleigh, North Carolina. Schafer has two sisters and a brother.

As a high school student, Schafer protested North Carolina's "bathroom bill," which restricted transgender people's access to public restrooms. She also became a semi-finalist in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program and graduated with honors from the North Carolina School of the Arts as a visual arts major.

Modeling Career

Schafer began modeling at a young age, walking for renowned fashion houses such as Dior, Miu Miu, Versus, Rick Owens, and Tommy Hilfiger. She was featured in Teen Vogue's "21 Under 21" list and interviewed by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Acting Debut and Accolades
