Early Career

Hunter Tylo, originally named Deborah Jo, took her first steps towards fame as a soap opera actress. She made her debut in the TV series "Days of Our Lives" and was seen in "All My Children" in 1985. It was on the set of this series where Hunter met her future husband, Michael Tylo. In 1987, she left the series after getting married.

For some time, Hunter Tylo dedicated herself to her family, home, and husband, choosing to take a break from acting. However, she found herself unable to be a full-time homemaker and in 1996, she began starring in the TV series "The Bold and the Beautiful." This show brought her worldwide fame and recognition.

After several years of portraying the character of Dr. Taylor on "The Bold and the Beautiful," Hunter was written out of the show due to her pregnancy. However, a few years later, the show's director offered her the opportunity to return, forgiving and forgetting past grievances. Hunter has played most of her roles in television series, including popular shows like "Baywatch," "Zorro," "Diagnosis: Murder," "Justice B.R.K.," and "Daughter of the Maharaja." In 2002, she joined the cast of the TV series "Spyder Games," playing the role of Andres Sarlin.

Personal Life and Challenges

Besides being a talented actress, Hunter Tylo is also a skilled writer. In 2001, she published her autobiography titled "Making a Miracle." She has played memorable roles in movies such as "Fatal Passions," "Willing to Kill: The Texas Cheerleader Story," and "The Great Race."

Despite facing many hardships and challenges in her personal life, Hunter Tylo considers herself a happy woman and mother. She has four children. In 1998, her youngest daughter Katie was diagnosed with cancer in her right eye, which ultimately had to be removed to save her life. Several years later, she developed a tumor in her remaining eye, but it disappeared inexplicably after extensive examinations. She now wears a prosthetic eye.

In October 2007, Hunter Tylo's son Michael drowned in a pond in Henderson. The investigation concluded that it was a suicide, as Michael had been struggling with depression and failures in life.
