Biography of Igor Kutepov

Early Life and Career

Igor Kutepov is a Ukrainian football player, goalkeeper, and coach. He was born on [birth date] in [birthplace]. Kutepov achieved the title of Master of Sports of the USSR and had an impressive career in both domestic and international football.

Club Career

Kutepov played for several clubs throughout his career. In the Soviet Union championship, he appeared in 123 matches, while in the Ukrainian championship, he played 39 matches. Kutepov also played 76 matches in the Russian championship and participated in 18 matches in European competitions. He was a member of the youth and junior national teams of the USSR and won the second place in the Junior European Championship in 1984.

International Career

Kutepov represented the Ukrainian national team, playing in four matches and conceding six goals (one penalty). He captained the team three times and made his debut on April 29, 1992, in a friendly match against Hungary (1-3). This match marked the first-ever game for the Ukrainian national team. Kutepov played his last international match on October 23, 1993, against the United States (1-0).

Coaching Career

After retiring as a player, Kutepov became a goalkeeper coach. From 2001 to 2003, he worked with the senior and youth teams of Moscow's CSKA. Later, from 2008 to 2016, he served as the head of the youth academy of Kharkiv's "Metalist." In June 2016, Kutepov became one of the leaders of the newly formed "Metalist" football club.

Achievements

Throughout his career, Kutepov achieved several notable accomplishments. He won the Ukrainian championship twice, in 1993 and 1994. In addition, he won the Silver medal in the Russian championship in 1998. Kutepov also earned the title of the Cup winner of the USSR in 1988 and the Cup winner of Ukraine in 1993. He was also a Silver medalist in the Junior World Championship in 1985.
