Early Life and Education
Born on August 8, 1982, in Novoukrayinka, Ukraine, Oleksandr Shapovalov received his higher education from the Kropyvnytskyi National Technical University (2004), earning a Master's degree in "Lifting, Transportation, Construction, Roadway, Reclamation, Excavation, and Earthmoving Machinery and Equipment."
In 2013, he completed another Master's degree in "Road and Airport Construction" from the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University.
Professional Career
Shapovalov embarked on his career in 2005 as an Engineer-Designer in the technical department of JSC "Budmash." He subsequently held positions as a Safety Engineer in the civil construction company Eurotech LLC and a Leading Specialist in the State Technical Supervision Administration of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.
From 2008 to 2009, he served as the Chief Engineer of GRADOTEK LLC, a manufacturer of building materials. He then became the Chief Engineer of the Novgorodkivskyi Regional Road Authority, a branch of the Kirovohrad Regional Administration of the State Road Agency of Ukraine.
In 2010, Shapovalov headed the Novgorodkivskyi Regional Road Authority. In August 2013, he was appointed Director of the Green Management Trust of the Kirovohrad City Council.
Following a brief stint as Deputy Director of Tek Center LLC (road construction and repair), he became the Director of the company, a position he has held to date.
Political Involvement
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, Oleksandr Shapovalov was elected to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) as a member of the "Servant of the People" party. He serves on the Parliament's Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
Additionally, he participates as a member of the Temporary Investigation Commission for the Verification and Assessment of the State of Public Joint-Stock Company "Ukrainian Railways."
