Early Life and Education
Sergey Aleksandrovich Iveronov was born into the family of Alexander Ivanovich Iveronov, a deacon, and Anna Aleksandrovna. His father died early, leaving the family with three young children. Iveronov's brother, Ivan, became a renowned geophysicist.
Iveronov received his education at the Moscow boarding school of M.N. Mukhanova and later graduated from Moscow University.
Government Service
Iveronov began his career in government service in 1887 as an official in the Ministry of Finance. From 1895 to 1901, he served as manager of the Perm Treasury Chamber, followed by similar positions in Vladimir (1901-1906) and Yaroslavl (1906-1912).
Business and Public Service
In 1912, Iveronov retired from government service and became the secretary of the Moscow Exchange Committee. He also served as a member of the Vladimir branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (1903-1906), chairman of the Labor Assistance Circle in Moscow (1912-1915), and trustee of the Kirkeev Zemstvo School (1913).
Later Career
After the Russian Revolution, Iveronov worked as a consultant for the Central Administration of Taxes and State Revenues. He also lectured on taxation at various institutes and continued to work in the Ministry of Finance of the USSR.
Family and Legacy
Iveronov married Varvara Stepanovna Perfilyeva in 1895. They had a son, Stepan Sergeevich, who worked in the All-Russian Union of Agricultural Cooperatives.
Iveronov's contributions to the field of taxation continue to be studied today. His works on juvenile labor colonies have also had a significant impact on modern research in the area of juvenile justice.
