Biography of Inna Bogoslovska

Inna Bogoslovska is a Ukrainian political and public figure. She was born and raised in Ukraine. Her father was a military officer and a university professor, while her mother worked as a lawyer. Inna graduated with honors from the Kharkiv Law Institute in 1982.

After completing her education, Inna started working as a lawyer at the Kharkiv Regional Bar Association. In 1989, she joined the distance learning program at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1992, Inna was invited to the legal collegium of the State Duma, a consultative body to the President of Ukraine.

In 1991, Inna founded one of the first legal services in Kharkiv. She later established the "International Audit Service" in 1994, followed by the consulting group "Prudens," which became an associate member of the international company "BDO International" in 2002. Inna is also a member of the board of the Kharkiv Regional Organization of the Union of Auditors of Ukraine.

Since its inception in 1991, Inna has been a member of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine. In 1997, she became the head of the Kharkiv Regional Organization and was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine. In 2003, she was honored as the honorary president of the Kharkiv Regional Organization of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine.

In addition to her legal career, Inna entered politics and was elected as a member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's Parliament) in March 1998. She served on the parliamentary committee on finance and banking activities and became the First Deputy Chairman of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada in 2000. Inna actively participated in the development of various legislative initiatives, including the Budget, Criminal, Civil, Commercial, and Tax Codes.

In 2001, Inna became the leader of the Constitutional-Democratic Party. In January 2003, she initiated the establishment of the public association "Veche Ukraine," which aimed to promote the development of civil society, education, culture, and the philosophy of business in Ukraine.

From May 2003 to January 2004, Inna served as the Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship. However, she resigned due to disagreements with the economic policies of the government's economic bloc. In May 2004, Inna joined the Public-Political Advisory Council to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In September 2005, the Constitutional-Democratic Party was renamed to the "Veche" Party, and Inna Bogoslovska was re-elected as its chairman. The "Veche" Party, considered a project of Viktor Pinchuk, the son-in-law of Leonid Kuchma, received active support from Pinchuk's television channels, especially ICTV, during the election campaign. However, the party faced defeat in the parliamentary elections in 2006, receiving only 1.74% of the votes and failing to enter the Verkhovna Rada. In the extraordinary parliamentary elections in 2007, the "Veche" Party successfully entered the parliament as part of the "Party of Regions" list.

Inna Bogoslovska is recognized as an Honored Lawyer of Ukraine and has been awarded the Order of St. Anna IV degree. She is married and has a daughter and a grandson.
