Early Life and Education
Irina Berezhna was born on August 13, 1980, in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. She graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2002 with a degree in Law. During her studies, she gained practical experience through internships at the State Commission on Securities and Stock Market and assisted the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Legislation at the Committee on Legal Policy.

Business and Legal Career
At the age of 19, Berezhna established her first business, a travel agency, which became a successful venture within two years. After graduating, she worked as a notary public assistant and became a qualified notary in 2004. Her notary office in Kyiv gained recognition and received the "European Quality" award in 2008. In 2007, Berezhna obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Law under the Bologna system.
Political Career
In 2007, Berezhna was elected as a National Deputy of Ukraine and became a member of the Committee on Legal Policy. She also chaired the Subcommittee on the Protection of Rights, Freedoms, and Interests of Citizens. In 2008, she received the honorary title of Professor of the International University of Vienna. In 2011, she was awarded the distinguished rank of Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.
Legislative Initiatives and Community Involvement
Berezhna has actively contributed to Ukrainian law by initiating legislation such as the "Documents Proving Identity and Confirming Citizenship of Ukraine" Act, amendments to the Supreme Court of Ukraine, and revisions to the Notaries Act. She has also developed a Notarial Procedure Code, a new version of the Notaries Act, and amendments to the Law on Advocacy.
As a Member of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between Ukraine and the European Union, Berezhna engages in joint meetings and promotes the implementation of European democratic standards in Ukraine. She conducts public receptions in Kyiv and various regions, addressing legislative concerns and providing legal assistance.
Media and Public Outreach
Since 2010, Berezhna has hosted the "Your Right with Irina Berezhna" radio program on Radio-Era FM 96.0. The program aims to educate listeners on legal matters and highlight legislative deficiencies. She has received numerous awards, including "Person of the Year 2009" in the "New Generation of the Year" category and "Woman of the Third Millennium 2007."
