She graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Political Science and holds a Master's degree in the same field. Her doctoral dissertation on "Propaganda as a Component of Political Communication" further solidified her expertise.
Political Career
Yakovleva's political journey commenced in 2004 when she embarked on a series of roles within political parties, non-profit organizations, and charities. Her participation in the 2019 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the "Servant of the People" party propelled her into the Ukrainian Parliament.
Current Positions
In the 9th Ukrainian Parliament, Yakovleva serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights, De-Occupation, and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories. She also leads the Subcommittee on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination. Additionally, she represents Ukraine in the interparliamentary assembly of Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
