Ivan Artipoli: Italian Central Defender
Early CareerIvan Artipoli, an Italian central defender, began his professional football journey with Pescara Calcio, making his debut at the tender age of 18. In 2004, he joined U.C. Sampdoria, where he honed his skills in their youth system.
Prato & and Lazio Acquisition
In 2005, Artipoli transferred to Prato in the Serie C2 league. Unfortunately, an injury sustained during preseason prevented him from seeing any action during his first season. However, in the 2006/2007 campaign, he became a regular starter, appearing in 21 matches.
On August 31, 2007, Lazio acquired 50% of Artipoli's playing rights from Prato. He made his debut for Lazio in a Coppa Italia match against Fiorentina and subsequently featured in his first Serie A game against Genoa that season.
Loans and Returns
In June 2008, Artipoli was loaned to Modena, where he played 10 games. Upon his return to Lazio, he was loaned out again to Foggia in January 2010. After his second loan spell, Artipoli rejoined Lazio, where he remained until his interest was sparked by Greek club Iraklis.
