During his season, Pavelka proposed to contestant Vienna Girardi, and they became engaged. However, their relationship ended in June 2010, and the couple did not publicly explain the reason for their breakup. Despite their split, Pavelka stated that they remained good friends.

Following his appearance on "The Bachelor," Pavelka joined the cast of "Dancing with the Stars" for its 10th season. He and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, finished in fifth place. Pavelka also had a brief acting career, appearing in an episode of the television series "Walker, Texas Ranger" in 1999 and the film "The President's Man" in 2000.

Pavelka's cousin, Jessie Pavelka, is also from Texas and is pursuing a career as a film actor. Perhaps one day, the Pavelka brothers will have the opportunity to act together.
