Biography of Jason Alexander
Jason Alexander, an American actor, comedian, and singer, was born on September 23, 1959. His real name is Jay Scott Greenspan, and he was born in Newark, New Jersey, into a Jewish family. His mother, Ruth Minnie, worked as a nurse, and his father, Alexander Greenspan, was a chief accountant. Jason has a step-sister named Karen Van Horn and a step-brother named Michael Greenspan.

Jason graduated from Livingston High School in 1977 and then enrolled at Boston University. However, he left the university in his penultimate year due to his work in New York. Nevertheless, Jason eventually completed his degree and obtained a scholar degree in 1992. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is also a talented magician.

Jason ventured into acting because he realized that a career as a magician would not bring him the same level of success as working on screen or stage. His acting career began on the stage in New York, where he danced and sang. He appeared in Broadway productions such as "Merrily We Roll Along," "The Rink," "Broadway Bound," "Accomplice," and "Broadway." His performance in "Broadway" earned him the prestigious Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 1989.

In 2003, Jason returned to the stage to star in "The Producers" in Los Angeles. He also appeared in a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" in 2004. Despite his numerous roles in musicals, Jason is best known for his phenomenally successful role as George Costanza in the sitcom "Seinfeld" (1989-1998), which earned him a television award.

Jason has also lent his voice to several animated series, including "Duckman" (1994-1997) and "Dilbert." He made a guest appearance in the TV show "Friends" and portrayed a suicidal manager named Earl. In 2002, he appeared in the first episode of the revival series "The Twilight Zone" as Death. Additionally, Jason appeared in the TV series "Mr. Monk and the Other Detective" in 2005 as Marty Ilsa.
In terms of his film career, Jason has appeared in movies such as "Pretty Woman" and "Shallow Hal." He has also directed two films, "For Better or Worse" (1996) and "Just Looking" (1999). In 2002, he played the role of Gilbert, a successful American toy master, in "The Man Who Saved Christmas."
In his personal life, Jason has been married to actress Daena E. Title since May 31, 1982. They have two children together, Gabriel (born in May 1992) and Noah (born in February 1996). He is also the uncle and godfather of Irish actor Stephen Mullaney. Jason's brother-in-law, Jonathan Penner, is an actor, director, and writer who participated in the show "Survivor: Cook Islands."
In an interview during the filming of "Shallow Hal," Jason revealed that he started losing his hair at the age of 16. Throughout his extensive career, Jason has only appeared in one dramatic production, the play "Pearson Ole," alongside Wu-Tang and Shah in Toronto. He not only acted in this play but also served as a partner to film director Nicholas Leone.
