Jerzy Stuhr is one of the most popular Polish actors. He graduated from the Krakow State Theatre School in 1972 and worked at the Stary Theatre in Krakow until 1991. Stuhr has received prestigious awards for both his theatre and film performances. In the 1980s, he performed in Italy and was awarded for his excellent knowledge of the Italian language and interpretation skills. He also teaches at the Krakow State Theatre School, where he served as rector from 1991 to 1996.

In 1994, Stuhr made his directorial debut with the film "The List of Adulteresses". The film was warmly received by critics and won several awards.
