Early Life and Education

Jessica Linley was born on March 28, 1989, to Michael and Rosemary Linley. In 1991, she moved with her family from Reading to Norwich. Linley attended Brundall Primary School and Thorpe St Andrew High School, excelling in history, English literature, and religious studies.

Pageant Success

In 2010, Linley was crowned Miss England, representing Nottingham at the pageant. Her victory sent her to the Miss World 2010 competition as the UK's representative.

University and Modeling

Linley studied at the University of Nottingham, where she served as treasurer of the law society and sports union finance officer. She paused her studies to focus on her pageant duties but returned to the university afterward. Linley also pursued a career in professional modeling.

Photography and Presenting

Linley's father, Mike Linley, a senior producer of wildlife documentaries including the "Survival" series, inspired her interest in photography. She also worked as a presenter on two short-form programs in the UK.

Activism

In November 2010, Linley spoke out against the proposed increase in university tuition fees.
