Biography of Jessica Lowndes

Jessica Lowndes is a Canadian actress and singer. She was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She attended a private Christian school in Surrey, British Columbia.

Early Career

Lowndes developed an interest in acting unexpectedly while on a shopping trip with her mother. She decided to audition for a role and although she did not get it, she caught the attention of an agent and soon began performing professionally.

Lowndes made her debut in the film "Saving Milly" in 2005 and also appeared in television series such as "Masters of Horror," "Kyle XY," and "Alice, I Think" around the same time.

Breakthrough Role

In 2008, Lowndes landed her first significant role as Adrianna Tate-Duncan in the series "Greek." She later joined the spin-off series "90210: The Next Generation." Initially a recurring character, she was promoted to a regular cast member in November 2008.

Adrianna's character faced challenges, including struggles with drug addiction. Despite not having personal experience with drugs, Lowndes received praise from fans for her portrayal of the complex character.

Acting and Singing Career

Lowndes continued to play Adrianna on "90210" and expanded her acting repertoire with roles in horror films such as "The Haunting of Molly Hartley" and "Autopsy" in 2008.

Her singing career gained attention through her role on "90210." In the pilot episode, her character performed in a school production, showcasing Lowndes' vocal talent. She released her own song, "Fly Away," on her MySpace page in March 2009.

While initially struggling to secure a record deal, Lowndes continued to hone her vocal skills on "90210" and performed at a Dodgers game in September 2009. Eventually, she signed with a major label and her debut album was set to be released in late 2010.

In addition to her solo work, Lowndes collaborated with Jeremy Amelin, a finalist on the French version of "American Idol," and British rapper Ironik on the song "Undone" in the spring of 2011.
