Biography of Jimmy Santiago

Jimmy Santiago, a Filipino judge and former police officer, currently holds the position of chairman in one of the branches of the Manila Regional Court. In addition, he is a skilled marksman. In the southern Philippines, owning a personal firearm is considered almost mandatory for any adult. People from various professions and social classes engage in shooting as a hobby. Jimmy Santiago, for example, became proficient in shooting during his time as a police officer. In fact, it was during his service in the Philippine Special Forces that Santiago gained recognition. He frequently participated in dangerous special operations, fighting armed criminals and rescuing innocent civilians. Throughout his career, Santiago personally eliminated six dangerous terrorists, and the number of lives he saved is immeasurable. Santiago was actively used as a negotiator, and the criminals he interacted with were often aware of his accurate shooting skills. This alone convinced them to surrender their weapons on several occasions. In the Philippines, Jimmy Santiago is rightfully considered a legend, and his numerous exploits even inspired a screenplay for a full-length film. Santiago has since retired from active service and transitioned to a relatively more peaceful position as a judge. However, he did not part with firearms. It so happens that judges are often required to make decisions that displease at least one of the parties involved. Sometimes, those dissatisfied individuals resort to expressing their grievances with the use of weapons. In such moments, even an office worker would find shooting skills useful. Not long ago, in Cebu, a dissatisfied Canadian opened fire inside a courtroom, killing two people and injuring a prosecutor. This is why Jimmy Santiago still keeps an M16 assault rifle and a shotgun on the wall of his office and a loaded .45 caliber pistol in his desk drawer. It is also why he continues to regularly visit the shooting range to this day.
