Early Life and Education

Born in Czechoslovakia, Hlinka completed his musical studies at the Prague Academy of Music under the tutelage of renowned masters such as František Rauch and Josef Páleníček. His promising career as a concert pianist commenced in 1966.

Health Concerns and Focus on Teaching

However, health issues forced him to curtail his performance activities significantly in 1969. From that point onward, Hlinka's focus shifted predominantly towards teaching and making occasional recordings. His discography includes works by composers including Haydn, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Janáček, Prokofiev, and Satie.
