Johann Angern: Prussian General and Industrialist
Born on June 13, 1861, Johann Angern rose through the ranks of the Prussian military, eventually attaining the rank of General Major.
Military Career
Angern's military career was marked by significant achievements. On September 10, 1898, as a captain, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Artillery Ordnance Factory in Danzig. His exceptional performance earned him a promotion to the rank of Major on March 22, 1907, at which point he became Executive Director of the same facility.
Technical Expertise
Angern was not only a skilled military officer but also an accomplished technician. He was an active member of the Technical Commission for Metal Extraction and Processing within the Kaiser Wilhelm Society. This role showcased his expertise in the field of metallurgy.
Personal Life
In 1890, Angern married Clara Mehls. Their marriage lasted two years until they divorced in 1892.
Legacy and Death
Johann Angern passed away on September 10, 1938, in Berlin, where he was subsequently laid to rest. His contributions to the Prussian military and the industrial sector left a lasting legacy.
