Early Life and Education
Born in the year 1950 (exact date unavailable), the former Armenian Member of Parliament (MP) received his engineering degree in zooveterinary medicine from the Yerevan Zooveterinary Institute between 1971 and 1976.
Military Service and Professional Career
From 1968 to 1970, he served in the Soviet Army. After graduating from the institute, he worked as the head of a zooveterinary firm in the Masis collective farm from 1976 to 1988.
Political Career
In 1988, he was elected as the head of the Masis village collective farm management. From 1998 to 1999, he served in the Armenian Ministry of Statistics, State Register, and Analysis.
Member of Parliament
His political breakthrough came in 1999 when he was elected as a Member of Parliament. During his tenure from 1999 to 2003, he actively participated as a member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Health Care, and Nature Protection. It is important to note that he remained a non-partisan figure throughout his political career.
