Juan Cuadrado: Colombian Football Maestro
Early CareerBorn in Necoclí, Colombia, Juan Cuadrado began his football journey in the youth academy of Atlético Urabá. In 2007, he joined Independiente Medellín, where he progressed to the senior team in 2008. Cuadrado made his professional debut in that same year, scoring a goal against Boyacá Chicó. He spent two seasons at Independiente, making 30 appearances and scoring 2 goals.
Destination Europe: Udinese
In July 2009, Cuadrado embarked on an adventure abroad, signing a five-year deal with Italian club Udinese. He made his Serie A debut in November of that year and played 11 matches in his first season.
A Season at Fiorentina
In July 2012, Cuadrado was loaned to Fiorentina for the 2012/13 season. The following year, Fiorentina purchased half of his rights from Udinese.
Premier League Stint: Chelsea
In February 2015, Cuadrado made the move to Chelsea in the English Premier League. However, his time at Stamford Bridge was short-lived. After just one season, he returned to Italy.
Return to Juventus
In August 2015, Cuadrado joined Juventus on a one-season loan. After impressing during his loan spell, Juventus exercised their option to sign him permanently in May 2017 for a fee of £17 million.
International Career
Cuadrado made his international debut for Colombia in 2010. He has represented his country at various tournaments, including the Copa América and the FIFA World Cup.
