Early Life and Career

José María Villalonga was born in Seville, Spain on September 26, 1938. At the age of 15, he moved to Madrid to pursue his footballing dreams and joined the youth team of Plus Ultra, a subsidiary of Real Madrid.

Rise to Fame

In 1959, Villalonga made his professional debut with Real Madrid Castilla. He went on to play for Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, and Real Zaragoza, where he spent nine seasons (1962-1971). Villalonga became a respected midfielder, despite playing alongside legendary figures like Alfredo Di Stefano, Héctor Rial, and Ferenc Puskas.

Club Success

Throughout his club career, Villalonga won three major honors:
1 La Liga title with Real Madrid (1961-62)
1 Copa del Rey title with Real Madrid (1961-62)
