Early Career

Katlego Mphela, a South African footballer, began his professional career with local club Cardiff Spurs.

International Debut

On May 27, 2007, Mphela made his debut for the South African national team in a COSAFA Cup match against Mauritius. He scored his first two international goals in a 4-1 World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea on June 7, 2008.

Fulham Transfer

On August 4, 2009, after a successful trial period, Mphela announced an agreement to join English Premier League club Fulham. The deal was finalized on August 24, 2009, after Mphela received a work permit.

Premier League Debut

Mphela made his Premier League debut against West Ham United but was sent off in the 41st minute for a challenge on Scott Parker.

International Appearances

Mphela was also a member of the South African squad at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.
