Transition to Senior Level

After her successful junior career, Laus joined Cathy King's team as the third player. However, the team decided to disband after the 2009-2010 season, leaving Laus to find a new team. She soon learned that a position had opened in Jennifer Jones' team, and she joined them for the 2010-2011 season.

Olympic Success

In the 2012-2013 season, Laus took over the skip position in Jones' team while Jones was on maternity leave. Their outstanding performances in various competitions, including the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, earned them a spot in the Canadian Olympic team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The team, consisting of Jones, Laus, Jill Officer, Dawn McEwen, and Kirsten Wall, went on to win the Olympic gold medal without suffering a single defeat throughout the tournament.

Personal Loss

Despite the joy of winning the gold medal, Laus was saddened by the fact that her father did not live to see her victory at the Olympics. Laus shared that her father always believed in her and her teammates' abilities and never doubted their potential for success. Unfortunately, she was unable to share the joy of victory with her father.
