Early Life and Education

Anžej Pasečņiks was born on December 20, 1985, in Riga, Latvia. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels for four years.

Professional Basketball Career

After graduating from college, Pasečņiks embarked on a successful professional basketball career. He played for numerous renowned clubs, including Efes Pilsen, Real Madrid, UNICS, and Fenerbahçe. Known for his versatility, he excelled in both center and power forward positions.

Suspension and Boxing Career

In December 2006, Pasečņiks was suspended for two years after a doping test revealed the presence of cocaine metabolites in his blood. During his suspension from basketball, he pursued his childhood dream of becoming a boxer. He made his professional boxing debut on January 11, 2008, in Las Vegas. Over the next year, he fought four matches, winning three and drawing one.

Return to Boxing

After an 11-year hiatus, Pasečņiks returned to the boxing ring on March 23, 2019. He defeated Belarusian boxer Alexander Niahaychik in a thrilling match.

International Career

Pasečņiks represented Latvia in three European Basketball Championships: 2001, 2003, and 2009. His contributions helped Latvia achieve notable results in international competitions.
