Early Life and Career

Casey Keller was born on November 29, 1969, in Lacey, Washington, USA. Growing up on a chicken farm, he developed a strong work ethic that would define his career. Despite initially being placed in goal due to his perceived lack of skill, Keller embraced the position and became a natural goalkeeper. After excelling at the college level, he earned All-American honors and became a key member of the US National Team.

Professional Club Career

In 1990, Keller embarked on an international club career that would span over a decade. He joined English side Millwall, renowned for its hostile atmosphere, where he established himself as a formidable goalkeeper for six seasons. In 1996, he moved to Premier League club Leicester City, where he became one of the league's top keepers, helping Leicester secure its position in the top flight and win the prestigious League Cup in 1997. In 1999, he transferred to Spanish club Rayo Vallecano before returning to England in 2001 to play for Tottenham Hotspur.

International Career

Keller's national team career began in 1990 when he served as backup goalkeeper at the World Cup. By 1998, his impressive performances in Europe earned him the starting role for the US at the World Cup. In 2002, he led the US to victory in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, showcasing his remarkable skills as a captain and goalkeeper.
