In 1996, he moved to Premier League club Leicester City, where he became one of the league's top keepers, helping Leicester secure its position in the top flight and win the prestigious League Cup in 1997. In 1999, he transferred to Spanish club Rayo Vallecano before returning to England in 2001 to play for Tottenham Hotspur.
